- Waste is the overuse or misuse of services or resources that results in unnecessary costs.
- Abuse includes practices that are inconsistent with accepted business or medical standards and may result in unnecessary costs or improper payments.

3. Reporting Suspected Fraud, Waste & Abuse
If you believe fraud, waste, or abuse has occurred involving Medicare or an insurance product, you are encouraged to report your concerns promptly.
